ütest Alcohol Saliva Test

This strip is made for the detection of the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) greater than .02%

A single panel Metobolite of Ethanol drug test, that detects ETG at 500 ng/mL.

 

This test is made to highlight a recent alcohol consumption, but cannot indicate in any case a state of alcoholic intoxication (it doesn't indicate if the patient is drunk or not). 

It allows the detection of ethyl glucuronide, or "EtG".
EtG is the main biomarker when it comes to highlight alcohol consumption, as this is a major metabolite of the ethanol contained in alcoholic beverages.

The urine test will be particularly useful in situations where alcohol consumption is absolutely prohibited, as in a medically supervised withdrawal, or in some professional environments that require total abstinence for safety reasons (eg in transport, or petrochemical fields).

This test is a qualitative assay (type "NO / YES"), and thus delivers a "NEGATIVE" or "POSITIVE" result.

1. Do not place anything in the mouth 10 minutes prior to testing (food, drink, tobacco products, etc.)
2. Open the foil package and remove the test strip.
3. Place the reactive pad underneath the tongue for 10 seconds. Remove from mouth and lay on a flat surface.
4. Read results 2-5 minutes after use.

Negative (clean)
2 lines appear; one next to “C” and one next to the “T”
The color of the T line may vary, even a faint “T” line = negative (clean) result

Positive (dirty)
Only one line next to the “C” appears

Invalid
No visible lines appear
No line next to the “C” appears
